Upgrading to a Wireless AC WIFI card with Bluetooth on a Laptop or Desktop

In this video I replace the Wireless N card in my laptop with a Wireless AC card. The speeds went up 6 times. I went back later after finishing this video and got speeds 10 times that of the original adapter. I talk about the type of cards in laptops, whitelists and show the driver installation.

I also show USB to Wireless options. Link below. I did some testing after receiving the TP-LINK Archer T4UH AC1200 and got 120Mbps down and 110Mbps up. Not as fast as the internal adapter I installed but not bad either. I good improvement over the original Wireless N adapter.

This is the Wireless AC card I install in the video.
Intel Dual Band Wireless AC 7260 Half Mini

This is the USB to Wireless adapter I talk about as an easier to install alternative.
TP-Link Archer T4UH

This is the one I have. It has the same 64bit set along with some other useful tools and a carrying case.

  1. hi, I already have laptops equipped with 7260 modules, and i would like to upgrade to Ax200 for more speed and stability. although they have not the same connector (M2 vs Mini PCIe) i have found and ordered an adapter that should do the job.

however, the antenna connectors of the AX200 modules seem smaller than what i have now except if i didn't see well. And I don't know what to do to adapt that. Any clue? Thanks

  3. Is it weird that I get your final speeds on an Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 Wireless-N (Not AC) card? I was about to upgrade my Dell E6530 to this 7260 card, to get more out of my new residential gigabit connection. But now it appears it won't make a difference.

  4. Where is the link to the God damn speed test web site that you have on your video at 1:20 minute mark??? I do not appreciate you Jerkin' Me around by sending Me on a WILD GOOSE CHASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. hey im watching your video and i want to change my wifi card to get 5ghz but when i open my laptop up its only has one antenna is there a way i can get the white antenna?

  8. I've Installed new Intel wireless drivers and it's not showing up in device manager or under network adapters! Where do I go to find them so I can disable my killer wifi network adapter?

  9. A quick question: how do you turn on your laptop when you keep the laptop closed all the time, and how does it not go into sleep mode?

  10. The last pin on the ac7260+bluetooth, pin 51, has to have tape put over it cut to size for the bluetooth to work. My bluetooth was not functional until i taped pin 51 and reinserted the card.
