Overview: 1 Samuel

Watch our overview video on the book of 1 Samuel, which breaks down the literary design of the book and its flow of thought. In 1 Samuel, God reluctantly raises up kings to rule the Israelites. The first is a failure, and the second, David, is a faithful replacement.

Thank you to all of our generous supporters!

  2. I pray that the book of Samuel, 1 Samuel and 2 Samuel all of the good of these books are inside and out all that i have not prayed against. Likewise i pray all the evil of the book of Samuel, 1 Samuel and 2 Samuel are inside and out of all I have prayed against. In the names of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit/Ghost amen.

  3. God created all nations and then he picked the Israeli as his beloved pets so he became the God of Israel only.
    What an unfair .

  4. I really injoy this format. I look at your video before I read certain books of the bible to help me link it all together. Then when I read, it all becomes more clear.
I hope you will make more and more of these videos! Lord Bless ya!! =KL=

  5. FATHER IS THE SON
    🗣: “Who are you?”
    Jesse: “I am David’s son.”👨‍🦲
    🗣: “And, who are you?”
    David: “I am Jesse’s father”👨‍👦
    🗣: “And, who are you?”
    David: “I am Israel’s king.”🤴
    🗣: “And, who are you?”
    Jesse: “I am Israel’s king’s father.”👨‍👦
🗣: “So Jesse is the father and the son & David is the son and the father.?.”
(Samuel inquired of Jesse if he had any other sons. Jesse told him that David the youngest was tending the flock. The prophet then asked for him to be brought in from tending the sheep. Samuel waited, and when he arrived God asked the prophet to anoint David as king over Israel. 1 Samuel 16:13)
(At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. Matthew 14:11)
    SON IS THE FATHER

  6. These people seem real. Relatable. We all have character flaws. Humbly ask God to remove them but it appears this also is a process of us tugging at the bit, fighting the bridle….maybe. God uses us despite ourselves…gets wearisome..Sometimes my heart goes out to the Jews and I don't blame them for getting sick of the crap they have endured….And manna in the desert for 40 years. Camping, dirty dusty, the rigors of life and everything else.. Who wouldn't complain? The more I learn and read, the more questions and deeper I wonder about all this history. Makes me sad.

  7. lol Saul has character flaws??? (reference 4:10)
    dishonest?
    lacks integrity?

sounds like literally every king in history (except Jesus who is comin back) and most of Congress

i can see why they chose him, he must of had the looks and the empty promises of lying lips. he was the archetype of politician

  8. 2:45 is NOT true. They didn’t get arrogant. God wanted to punish the house of Eli for what his sons did, so He let Israel get defeated and in the process, Eli’s 2 sons were killed.

  9. What about David's time servicing the Philistine king? And him marching on the Israelite army at Mount Gilboa? And the fact that Saul committed suicide by falling down on his own sword? What about David being Saul's armor-bearer and harp/lyre-player??

  10. This is good but it's important for you to focus on the facts and refrain from placing your interpretation.

There are some things you did not quite get right here.

While I appreciate you are trying to enlighten the listener, trust that the Holy spirit will do the job that he specifically came to do, and don't try and help the process along, if you get what I mean.

    Bless

  11. ''Thus says the LORD of hosts, 'I will punish Amalek for what he did 'Now go and strike Amalek and utterly destroy all that he has, and do not spare him; but put to death both man and
woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.'" BIBLE- 1 Samuel
    15:3.

  12. “Samaria shall become desolate; for
she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants
shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.”
    (Hosea 13:16)

I reckon that it is very reasonable to expect mercy and..salvation
    from such a nice guy..

  13. ISAIAH 9 – 1 SAMUEL
“The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them a light has shined.”

    (Isaiah 9:2)

    WORDS BY: FATHER
"Are you afraid to stand out as a beacon in the darkness? Are you ashamed to represent Christ to the nations of the world so that all who see you know that you are My image? Or would you prefer to fit in with the rest of the world to preserve your identity? The insecurity of being different is so great that it has not only crippled many spiritually, but it has stopped many believers from walking in the fullness. It causes people to act a certain way in order to fit in. But have you ever stopped to consider what it is you are fitting in to? A world so driven by image over integrity. Man in himself is a speck; but in Me so much more. David knew this which was why he could dance before Israel and be a fool for My sake. Unlike his wife who was ashamed, his acceptance was in Me alone. Therefore, a fool was the least he could be for Me. Fear is indeed a snare unto humanity and if you are ashamed of Me, of My gospel, of My words, then you will have a fruitless life just as Michal became fruitless in childbearing. Who do you value?

You are called to be the light of the world and stand out as My servant Samuel did; for indeed he was a sign to Israel of one faithful to the light. My requirement for you is the same – walk in the light continually so that darkness has no hold in you. It begins by being obedient to My still small voice which daily whispers your name. This will test your integrity levels. By listening faithfully when I speak, you become a light that others will be drawn to and you will indeed stand out as a beacon in the spirit realm. So whose image will you represent – the world’s image or My image?"
