Immune System, Part 1: Crash Course A&P #45

Our final episodes of Anatomy & Physiology explore the way your body keeps all that complex, intricate stuff alive and healthy — your immune system. The immune system’s responses begin with physical barriers like skin and mucous membranes, and when they’re not enough, there are phagocytes — the neutrophils and macrophages. It also features the awesomely named natural killer cells and the inflammatory response, and we’ll explain how all of these elements work together to save the day if you happen to slip on a banana peel.

  1. Shoutout to my immune system for working so hard 24/7 meanwhile I am feeding my body pepperoni pizza all day. I'll try to be more respectful to my fellow buddies in the future.

  2. Awesome! I unbelievably understood the first part, and most important part according to my profesor, of the immune system. I was struggling with this, but now, I understand. Thank you!

  3. I actually found the CrashCourse Biology version of the Immune System more helpful although the animations are better here yet it was more easy to comprehense in that video. Is it just me or anyone else too?

  4. Why do u put white blood cells and lymphocytes in different boxes like if they are diferent cells? lymphocytes are one of the many types o white blood cells… guys just study, this kind of videos are not really precise…really.

  5. So happy that I raised my ImmuneIQ in a complete natural way and I'm feeling so full of energy, alive and kicking!! "Take good care of your Immune System because the Immune System will take care of you."

  6. Hey crashcourse have you guys ever considered making an educational animated series for kids. My daughter is 4. Sometimes when I am using your videos to brush up on a topic, she's intrigued by the animations. She then asks me a ton of questions but that's great because she learns a lot. lolol anyways love your videos!!!

  7. Thank you so much. I read a book about the immune system and it was somehow complicated but you just explained everything clearly and I just understand easily. You're awesome

  8. Your clips are awesome! well I had think of to put some animations to explain our immune system but mine was way less attractive compared to yours. Thank you so much for posting and hosting such informative clips!
