  1. thank you for making a succinct and great video! too many people have so much talking and non-sense in their videos.

  2. Thank you! Best video I've found with this effect! I did my own additional tweaking after rasterizing the smoke layer, but appreciate all the steps you've laid out!

  3. Great tutorial, thank you so much =D

0:31 > (adding glow)> layers panel: select the bg layer> "ctrl+J": duplicate the bg layer, rename="add glow"> top panel: filter, blur, gaussian blur> gaussian blur window: radius=15px, [V] preview> hit "OK"> layers panel: blend=soft light, opacity=65%
    (adding lens focus)

1:50 > hit "create new layer" icon, rename="add vignette"> make it the top layer> "shift+F5": fill color> fill window: color=50% gray> hit "OK"> top panel: filter, lens correction ("shift+ctrl+R")> lens correction window, custom tab: vignette, amount=-100, midpoint=+10> hit "OK"> layers panel: blend=hard light
2:50 > (adding smoke)> hit "create new layer" icon, rename="add smoke"> top panel: filter, render, clouds> layers panel: select "add smoke" layer> right click, hit "convert to smart object"> blend=screen> "ctrl+T": enlarge the layer> top bar: w/h=700%> note: "enlarging layer" converts clouds effect to smoke/foggy effect
4:03 > canvas: drag the smoke layer, to better show the character, and accompany around smokes> select "add vignette" layer> "ctrl+J": duplicate it> make the duplication the top layer> blend=overlay> note: now that's done
