Gmail vs G Suite Whats actually the difference and why is it a big deal

Google is not Google if you compare private Gmail to a professional G Suite business account. I’m wondering that there is so much confusion about this and thought that a very hands-on video this week might help. So what’s the difference and what to keep an eye on.

  13. Great information! Thank you! Am accountant selecting file management and content creation tool for cannabis clients. It seems GSuite is a better option than DropBox since it provides direct access to Docs, Sheets, etc. Anything else to consider? Would need Team sharing, ownership, scalability, backup/restore, proxy file ownership, etc.

  29. Hey Cristoph, I'm considering this for a small company. Can you let me know if the accounts created inside the Gsuite are totally independent? So each person gets their login and the content the put in there are totally independent and no one can see it? Or the admin will always be able to check that?

  30. I clicked on for trial, entered my credit card (wrong thing to do)..and now that my
    trial period is up, I want to cancel the order. How do I do it? I have not been able to get into the gmail account since the start of the trial period. HELP!!

  31. Hi Christoph – great video thanks for sharing. I recently started doing some consulting work for a company that set me up with a G-Suite account. I currently have 2 personal gmail accounts and I also added the G Suite account. My concern is can an Administrator (from the Company) gain access into my personal accounts. Also can they see delete my personal gmail accounts that i currently hold? It may sound like a daft question but its freaking me out.

  34. I am going to make a suggestion for these kind of videos.

    Use Title labels that appear on the screen when you speak about a specific subject or category about something, example, speaking about scalability. The title "Scalability" appears on the video to tell viewers you are now speaking about it. You can use point form style too if that applies. — reason, people can return to the video and go to that time spot to listen to it again.

    Ensure you don't blend into different subjects, or mix subject material as you speak. It makes it hard to know when one subject is over and the next one starts. This is what I found in this video. It was getting hard to follow because there were no clear divisions between the things you were highlighting about G-Suite.

  43. great video! quick question. What happens with teachers? What if they want to work using G Docs and more but their schools do not offer a G Edu account? What would you recommend im that situation? Thanks in advance =)

  45. What is the difference between the Gsuite free legacy company emails to the new paid basic or business editions? I really want to be able to write emails now but schedule them to be automatically emailed later. I am also keen on the new gmail confidentiality features

  46. I know your choice between these two options !!! It's the one you use today. I imagine it's GSuite, right? Most people who work with technology use GSuite. Google influences to go to his "arms".

  48. I have a free google account which I docs sheets and slides a lot, is there any difference in the G Suite versions of docs sheets and slides?

  49. Im curious to how backups work? If I have a backup system working and I delete X from the primary it will remain in the backup but only until the backup backups the primary and 'mimic's the primary', it would therefore the delete document to make it a backup copy of the primary. Therefore X will be deleted from the backup. Or does a backup only ever 'add to the backup' and therefore over time the backup will become enormous in comparison to the the primary? I guess this applies to any backup system, so what actually happens?
