Broadlink Product Update 2019 : Hands On With The New Smart Home Products and App

The Broadlink guys turned out to be absolutely lovely, very complimentary and more open than ever before to listen to feedback on their old products and their new products for 2019. Their Vice President is very candid with me and quick to respond, so I'm looking for feedback on any current issues so I can help them get the attention they need, please hit me up in the comments with any known issues you are experiencing so I can put together a list, I'm fairly confident there are still problems with the TC2 light switch, but I could be wrong!

Can I ask if you have any update from Broadlink? I love their products and it is unfortunate that the new ones are not yet released

I wish the RM Pro could generate its own RF code so I can assign to my every RF wall switch.

Just come across a problem that i would like to ask about. Im trying to add another remote however the buttins unlearn themselves as i add more! Is there a limit to how many i can have??

I am using rm4 mini. Currently no alexa support for projectors…………….. so I am using a workaround and declaring my epson tw7200 projector as a TV which seems to be working fine at first BUT epson uses 2 distinct buttons for turning the projector ON and OFF. This is not mapped in any remote in the Broadlink app and as a side effect alexa can only Turn on the projector.

Thinking of getting one of these to set my home Alarm as part of an Alexa routine when I leave the house and disarm when I return. At present I have an RF keyfob to arm and cancel the alarm. I'll check the frequency it uses, but has anyone else used the Broadlink RM Pro to do this?

The IHC app is currently busted. I am assuming they are pulling it to get people to use the new broadlink app. The IHC app says it does not work in your region now. Do you have any news on the New app Paul?

6:56 the RF is to random. i cant pair it. They need improve it.
They must add on RM PRO 4 Bluetooth v.5 and roling code on RF. Because i have kinetic switch wich work on 433Mhz but dont pair with RM PRO 3. I think this kinectick swich is S2 name but its perfect becuase no wire house need and no battery so can turn o and on and diming light without problem.

Paul, I must ask if the app for the Broadlink products has reached a point where it is suitable for the average consumer and not requiring lots of workarounds?

Hey Paul, i'm just curious, did you get your hands on the RM4c mini? I got one of them and regardless of which broadlink app i'm using it won't finish the setup, it gets the wifi settings but that's it.

Give us an update… the broadlink app is not working, can no longer connect to "SHE WHO WILL NOT BE NAMED" This is horrible!! Now I think the app has disappeared

Hey Paul!! How can you make a tutorial, or have you made one, about how to control diferent stuff at the same time (tv, air cond, ligths, tv channel) with one comand thru siri? I've already watch the siri-IFTTT- Broadlink tutorial. and it works perfectly (at least to turn my a/c on and off) but i wanna give just one order (e; turn my room on) and control different devices. Last month I could control everything by voice and Google assistant, and now it only works with airconditions? 🤔
The Alexa skills still work I believe, but I only use GH.
All my smart plug's are useless, and controlling TVs and DVD player, in my dream! it still works with the ihc app on my android phone, but that's not very helpful for other family members who don't wanna bother with app's and stuff..
I have tryed to get in touch with broadlink but no response.
So,,, since you guy's now are bestest of friends, holding hands, dining and stuff I'm asking you 😂😉

Hi! the sp3 sp mini 3 is not working now, I bought 20 units of broadlink sp3 mini. Now I cannot add the equipment, try everything and nothing. I Try the 3 applications ihc, econtrol ang beoadlink hub (probe with sp3, sp3us, sp3s us but configuration fail always, some times, past directly to devices screen without any change, forgetting the new device, showing nothing.

I have the broadlink Rm mini 3 and I used it to control my old box remote control
How Can I control the new Bluetooth remote?

Hi Paul, Some feedback for Broadlink, Having set up RM mini to work with Goggle home, every time I add or change a scene, I have to unlink the IHC service and re-link it to get the changes additions. This can also mean that I have to go back into my Google home routines and re-add the adjust scene tick as it get unticked. All a bit of a pain as I usually forget. Unless i‘m missing something? Cheers Keith

I'm thinking of buying Broadlink to listen to RF door sensors and send any triggers to IFTTT. Is this possible with broadlink? as I cant find any information or video that says this is possible.

Hi Paul, love your youtube channel : could you redo your old demo of BroadLink with Alexa but do it now with the BroadLink RM + Alexa Echo +ihc-EU for turning on a TV+STB and getting to a channel like BBC 1 : I genuinely would pay for this. Also – how the hell do you import Broadlink scenes into Alexa ??? Amazon & BroadLink should have you on a retainer – I've just spent 300 quid on 2 ECHO's , 2 RM pro's, a SENGLED light hub and a whole bunch of lights ! Now I'm just trwing (that's trying very hard :)) to get it all going together : Bascially automating my parents home as they are very old and can no longer mange TV remotes etc etc / Would really appreciate some guidance. Also, why don't BroadLink publish Any documentation on how to use their stuff ??? / thanks again / Michael

What would be a great feature as well is that you can change the Wifi Network in the settings of the Broadlink device. If i move f.i. the RM Pro to another wifi network. If you f.i. get another router you have to reconfigure everything…..which is a pain in the …..

Please ask them to also have an option for a OFF button for the devices in the app. 😉
