Bill Gates: The next outbreak? We’re not ready

In 2014, the world avoided a horrific global outbreak of Ebola, thanks to thousands of selfless health workers — plus, frankly, thanks to some very good luck. In hindsight, we know what we should have done better. So, now’s the time, Bill Gates suggests, to put all our good ideas into practice, from scenario planning to vaccine research to health worker training. As he says, “There’s no need to panic … but we need to get going.”

  1. It’s videos like this that’s make you realize intelligent people like Bill are surrounded by so many simple minded people who are just good clapping hands after a speech like this.

  2. The most awful thing about this is that if this video was given by a 'sexy' woman in a bikini it would have had 1bn views and saved so so many lives. Us Aspie folk aren't taken seriously as 'not cool' or 'serious' unless very wealthy. Fortunately, Bill is very wealthy.

  3. Watching it in 2020 – who would vote him as an advisor to current global leaders like Trump, Xi or Johnson?? If only someone would heed to advise anyway.

  4. Ha watching this right now with the conorovirus spreading round the world. Glad they took up your good advice, Bill Gates ya big creepy psychic😆

  5. Who would have thought that the companies would outsource their labour in the CCP. Great idea to trust the communists with unlimited power.

  6. People know Bill gates has an agenda for this by supporting the WHO with more than 10 billion dollars? An organization which is addicted to vaccines. This virus is what they have been waiting for. Big business is coming for them (and Bill).
